The Eagles' quarterback Jalen Hurts and cornerback Darius Slay, both initially voted as first alternates, have now been named to the NFC team for the 2024 Pro Bowl Games. The games are set take place in Orlando, Fla. on Sunday.

Replacing the traditional Pro Bowl, the Pro Bowl Games now span multiple days, featuring skill games and flag football. The Pro Bowl Skills Show will take place on Thursday, February 1, followed by the main Pro Bowl Games on Sunday, February 4.

Following another remarkable season, Hurts has been selected for his second Pro Bowl. The 25-year-old quarterback made his Pro Bowl debut last season but had to skip due to the Eagles' Super Bowl LVII game. This season, Hurts was initially the first alternate quarterback for the NFC, but now replaces Brock Purdy of San Francisco, who is gearing up for Super Bowl LVIII against Kansas City in Las Vegas.

In the 17 regular season games, Hurts completed 65.4 percent of his passes, clocking 3,858 yards and a career-high 23 touchdowns. His 15 rushing touchdowns have broken an NFL record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in a single season, a record matched by Buffalo Bills' Josh Allen, surpassing Cam Newton's 14 in 2011.

With 38 rushing touchdowns in the last two seasons, Hurts leads the NFL and ranks third among quarterbacks in terms of rushing yards (2,149). He also shattered multiple franchise records, setting new team records in total yards (4,463) and total touchdowns (38), finishing second in the league in total scores behind Allen (42).

Joining the ranks of Tom Brady and Jim McMahon, Hurts is the only third NFL quarterback since 1950 to win 27 or more games over 29 starts (Week 15 of 2021 to Week 13 of 2023).

Darius 'Slay', a Pro Bowl veteran of six seasons, four of which as an Eagle, has also been selected. In 2023, Slay started 12 games, recording 57 total tackles, a team-high 15 passes defensed, and two interceptions. He replaces the 49ers' Charvarius Ward on the NFC team.

Alongside Hurts and 'Slay', six other Eagles have been selected to represent the team at this year's Pro Bowl activities. These include A.J. Brown, Lane Johnson, Jason Kelce, Landon Dickerson, Haason Reddick, and D'Andre Swift.
